Essay

The thesis is devoted to the determination of the influence of the high-disperse chalk additive on the processes of the formation of a cement stone and the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, in particular water resistance and corrosion resistance. The theoretical representations of the mechanism of influence of carbonate additives of different nature and structure on the processes of hydration and structure formation of cement stone have been broadened. The mechanism of influence of fine dispersed chalk on the structure of cement stone and concrete from the positions of thermodynamic calculations has been substantiated. The composition of the concrete mixture with the optimum amount of high-dispersion chalk addition to improve the frost resistance and corrosion resistance of concrete in an aggressive environment containing chlorides, sulfates and magnesium ions has been substantiated and developed. The suggested technological scheme of manufacturing of concrete mixture, modified with highly dispersed chalk, taking into account the indicated technology, has provided the possibility to determine the technologic and economic effect from the addition of highly dispersed chalk to the composition of concrete mix. The expected economic effect of the production of the proposed concrete mix is 172.41 UAH/1m3 of concrete.
