The dissertation deals with theoretical synthesis and a new solution of the scientific problem in the development of a methodology for investigating the illicit handling of firearms committed by criminal organizations. On the basis of deep and systematic analysis, the forensic description of the illicit handling of firearms committed by criminal associations is presented, the main structural elements are identified and disclosed: the subject of the attack, the methods of committing, the trace picture, the characterization of criminal organization. The author presents the typical structure of a criminal organization the illicit use of firearms, consisting of: a leader (organizational and managerial link); persons directly committing crimes (executive link); 3) persons providing systematic criminal activity (functioning) of criminal associations (an intermediary link).
