The dissertation is devoted to solving problems of creation and development of agricultural service cooperatives on the example of dairy stock-purchase cooperatives. The essence of the concept of "development of dairy cooperatives" as the process of organizing joint activities in order to meet the needs of small commodity producers by achieving a scale effect is revealed. The problems of distribution of the cooperative idea among the rural population are investigated. An assessment of the level of cooperative awareness of peasants was conducted. The influence of different subjects on the diffusion of cooperation is analyzed. The most influential among youth channels of distribution of information about cooperation are revealed. These channels include seminars and trainings, educational videos, social networks. The necessity of strengthening educational work among young people for the future of agricultural servicing cooperation is substantiated. The directions and mechanisms of such activity are offered: formation of the institutional environment; establishment of partnership between scientific institutions, educational institutions, authorities and cooperative organizations; wider and targeted involvement of agricultural advisory services, international technical assistance projects; creation of specialized information channels targeting young people and rural population - on-line school, on-line university; activation of cooperative organizations for work with youth, educational work among the villagers through local mass media, etc.
