The Thesis is devoted to the complex study of the issues of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine committees` activities as an integral part of the mechanism for ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens in the sphere of corruption prevention. The evolution of the rights and freedoms of citizens in the field of corruption prevention history is analysed. The definition of the rights and freedoms of citizens in the field of corruption prevention is determined and their classification is provided. The obstacles to realization of the rights and freedoms of citizens in the sphere of corruption prevention in Ukraine are characterised, as well as organizational measures for the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens in the sphere of corruption prevention. The study of the role of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in this area is described. The activities of the committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and ombudsman in ensuring the rights and freedoms of the human and citizen in the sphere of corruption prevention and their role in the upholding of human and civil rights and freedoms are scrutinised.
