Yankovska K. Economic efficiency of biomass utilization for energy supply of agricultural enterprises

The thesis studies economic reasonability of agricultural biomass utilization for energy needs. The research argues criteria of efficiency of the technology of biomass conversion and confirms that most of them have no quantitative evaluation. The work analyzes economic aspects of the technology of biomass conversion into energy products, which make an alternative to the existing energy carriers. It is determined that costs of the obtained biofuels is competitive comparing to the traditionally used ones. The research argues that bioenergy potential of agricultural biomass is an efficient and available additional source of energy supply for production needs of agrarian enterprises. To assess application of the technology of biomass conversion for energy purposes the work develops an economic and mathematic model, which depicts essential relations and regulations of the process of economic system performance in a mathematic form and enables optimization of the structure and typical sizes of energy equipment according to the criterion of expenditure minimization. The thesis outlines perspective directions of bioenergetics development at agricultural enterprises and describes principal tools of the state support in the field.
