The dissertation is devoted to the research of organizational and technical development of the enterprise on the basis of organizational and technical components, development of methodical principles of its evaluation, as well as development of a set of measures to increase the level of organizational and technical development of enterprises.
The goal of the research is to develop a complex theoretical and methodological approach to the estimation of the enterprise’s development based on the enterprises of the Ukraine’s dairy industry and to work out the recommendations regarding the main components of the development, which could be used in the management of enterprises.
Modern domestic enterprises are functioning in the environment characterized by uncertainty and frequent changes. In addition, a significant influence have such external and internal factors as a changing market conditions, an increased competition in terms of the market openness, a large number of a bankrupt enterprises, lack of the financial resources, inability to provide the high performance of the economic activities etc. Therefore, in such circumstances the activity of the enterprise should be directed not only to survive but also to the process of continuous development. The enterprise doomed to cease activity in the absence of the development.
The concept of "enterprise’s development" has many interpretations in the scientific community. The point of view of various authors regarding the interpretation of this concept available in the scientific literature was considered. As a result of the analysis the views of scholars about the interpretation of this concept have been grouped in the basic approaches and characteristics each of them was done. The views of different economists concerning the interpretation of the concepts of "development", "increase", "growth" were analyzed. The interrelation and the major differences between them was revealed. Based on the research the concept of "enterprise’s development" was determined and offered the author's generalized definition of the category.
The main components of the development of the company was proposed to identify. There are: financial, technical, organizational, innovation and investment, human resources. The concept and characteristics each of them was given.
The complex methodical approach to the evaluation of organizational and technical development of the enterprises of the investigated branch was proposed, through the successive use of multidimensional statistical methods, in particular the taxonomic method and the method of the main components. Such approach, unlike the existing ones, makes it possible to take into account, on the basis of systematization of the selected indicators, the influence of organizational and technical components on the level development of the enterprise in order to identify and eliminate «the bottlenecks» of its production activity. The use of this approach can serve as a basis for analyzing the current level of production and determine its possible perspectives.
The current state and tendencies of development of the Ukraine’s dairy industry were analyzed. So, dairy industry of Ukraine is a large industrial sector that is crucial for the economy of agriculture, and for the economy as a whole. Recently, however, the state of the dairy enterprises has been characterized by a number of crisis tendencies associated primarily with increasing shortages of raw materials, rising prices for dairy products while reducing effective demand, low quality milk, the formation of unfavorable conditions on the world market of dairy products.
It has been confirmed that recently the activity of milk processing enterprises is determined by a number of crisis trends, which are connected, first of all, with the reduction of livestock and the growing shortage of raw materials, the use of outdated and inefficient equipment, non-compliance with domestic and international standards of product quality, etc. These problems in organizational, technical and technological components of development require urgent solutions for the efficient activity and further development of the dairy industry in Ukraine.
The developed scientific and methodological approach to assessing the level of organizational and technical development of the enterprise was tested on the basis of milk processing enterprises of Ukraine.
Based on the analysis, a set of measures was defined and the investment required for this purpose was made to improve the level of organizational and technical development of dairy processing enterprises.
