Essay

Object of the study: growth hormone deficiency. Aim of the study: determination and analysis of cardiovascular risk factors (СVRF), increasing the effectiveness of treatment of patients with childhood onset growth hormone deficiency (COGHD) on the basis of evaluation the dynamics of clinical, biochemical and hormonal parameters. Меthods of the investigation and equipment: clinical, anthropometric, imunoturbodimetric, enzymatic-colorimetric, radioimmunological, instrumental, roentgenological, statistical ; Ultrasound devises SSD-1700 "Aloka", SSA-550 "Toshiba", cardiograph “Fukuda Denshi” (Cardimax FX-326). Theoretical and practical results: it was determined that GH , IGF-1, IGF-BG-3 sevire deficiency associates with accumulation of serious СVRF (increase in total cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL, apolipoproteins B, apoB/apoA1 ratio, C-reactive protein, decrease in HDL cholesterol levels, apolipoproteins A1). The expediency of continuation/ resumption of rGH-therapy (recombinant growth hormone) in young adults with COGHD is proved scientifically aimed to reduce CVRF and prevent early cardiovascular morbility and mortality. Novelty: evidence of accumulation significant СVRF, namely, dyslipidemia and high level of C-RP, was shown in young adults with COGHD first in Ukraine. The positive effect of rGH-therapy on the lipid profile, including apoA1, apoB levels, as well as the apoB/apoA1 ratio, and the antiinflammatory factor of C-RP has been proved. The degree of implementation: the results were introduced into the clinical practice in the the out-patient department of the SI "Institute of Endocrinology and Metabolism named by V.P. Komisarenka NAMS of Ukraine ", Department of Endocrinology SI" Institute of Child and Adolescent Health of the NAMS of Ukraine. The Patent № u201503113. Innovation. Application area: endocrinology
