Khokhych I. State Policy on Establishment and Development of Youth Civic Engagement

In the dissertation the state policy on formation and development of civic activity of youth is researched. The conceptual-categorical apparatus of the science of state administration in the field of formation and development of civic activity of youth is generalized. A typology of civic activity of young people has been worked out on a number of classification grounds (goals, areas and levels of implementation, modes of implementation, subject of influence, content, intensity, conventionality, etc.). The essence and structure of the state policy system on formation and development of civic activity of youth and mechanisms of its implementation are determined; the directions of improvement of mechanisms of realization of the state policy concerning formation and development of civic activity of youth in Ukraine are offered. The influence of modern information and consulting technologies on the development of civic activity of youth, including through the mechanisms of using public applications, the spread of distance civic education, the promotion of e-democracy tools have been substantiated. The methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of state policy regarding the formation and development of civic activity of youth on the basis of criteria: civil competence, participation in political activity, level of patriotism, institutionalization and youth participation have been developed.
