Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the improvement of the efficiency of diagnostics and prediction of the development of chronic bronchitis in adolescent smokers on the basis of studying the status of tobacco-smoking, clinical and functional characteristics of the course of bronchitis and molecular genetic risk factors for their formation. It is proved that the development and course of СB in adolescent smokers depends on the experience of tobacco smoking and the indicators of its status: the number of cigarettes smoked per day, the smoker's index and the "pack / years" indicator. It has been established that prolonged exposure to toxic compounds of tobacco smoke on the adolescent's body reduces volumetric and high-speed parameters of the respiratory system, leads to respiratory muscle dysfunction and the decrease in the level of nitrogen monoxide in exhaled air condensate. It has been shown that the development of chronic bronchitis in adolescent smokers is associated with the 2G/2G genotype of the gene MMP-1 (rs1799750). The TT genotype of the gene CYP1A1 (T3801C) can be considered as a marker of resistance to chronic bronchitis in adolescent smokers. A mathematical model for predicting the risk of developing of chronic bronchitis in adolescent smokers has been developed, which facilitates the early detection of high-risk groups in the formation of this pathology for personalized preventive measures.
