Silenko S. Crisis Management of an Industrial Enterprise under Conditions of Uncertainty and Risk

The research object is the processes of crisis management of an industrial enterprise operating in an unstable economy. The research purpose is the development of theoretical basis and substantiation of practical recommendations for the formation of crisis management in metallurgical enterprises under conditions of uncertainty and risk. Abstract-logical, statistical, economic and financial analysis, monographic, statistical simulation and forecasting, and graphical methods were used in the work. The dissertation improved methodical approach to the formation of organizational and economic mechanism of crisis management taking offensive tactics and innovative mechanisms into account; conceptual approaches to determining the influence of external and internal factors on the results of the metallurgical enterprise performance with the use of different types of financial and economic diagnosis taking into account the stages of the crisis and the implementation of appropriate anti-crisis decisions; and the scientific and methodical approach to developing the analytical tools for investigating a probable bankruptcy of a metallurgical enterprise, which allows taking into account current industrial peculiarities and conditions of functioning of the domestic and foreign markets of metal products. The following positions have been further developed: theoretical approaches to justifying the classification of crises; conceptual approaches to the use of scoring as a method of crisis management, based on the studying the crisis events of an entity, types, stages, causes and factors of bankruptcy, the establishment of the relationship between the phenomena of bankruptcy probability and groups of indicators; scientific and applied tools of crisis management, which are developed due to the investigation of bankruptcy probability according to different methodological approaches. The practical significance of the obtained results in the dissertation is in their use, which will timely determine the level of crisis situation in an enterprise, identify its causes, choose the enterprise purpose and strategy under crisis conditions, and form and implement a system of anti-crisis programs. The main scientific achievements of the dissertation were introduced in metallurgical enterprises, in particular at the LLC "Zaporozhye Titanium Magnesium Plant", PJSC " A.M.Kuzmin Electrometallurgical Plant Dniprospetsstal".
