Essay

This thesis is dedicated to the theoretical foundations, methodical approaches and practical recommendations for the development of managerial competence of the head of the enterprise under conditions of management professionalization. The basic preconditions for mainstreaming of the issues of management professionalization are analyzed. It is presented the conceptual framework of socio-cultural patterns for the development of managerial competence of the head of the enterprise. Its main idea and element contents are grounded. The essence, content and structure of managerial competence of the head of the enterprise are specified with reference to the most recent trends in the theory and practice of management in a cross-disciplinary context. Two basic components of managerial competence of the head of the enterprise are singled out – functional and personal. The methodical approaches to the assessment of the development of managerial competence of the head of the enterprise are analyzed and generalized. The assessment involves consideration of the preparedness and abilities of the head of the enterprise to perform management functions (planning, organizing, motivation and control) as well as such personal characteristics of the head of the enterprise as self-motivation, socio-psychological qualities and abilities, and the professional self-concept. It is carried out diagnostics of the development of the functional component of managerial competence of the head of the enterprise. Sta-tistical method and factor analysis are used to identify latent complex reasons for decisions made by heads of enterprises as well as the most critical points of development of their managerial competence and professionalization. Within the characteristics of their functional competence and personal potential, four types of heads of enterprises are distinguished. Professional development programs are also designed. Provisions of the theory of spiral dynamics of consciousness development are used to assess orientation of heads of enterprises to real state of consciousness of their subordinates. The results of such assessment are intended to design constructive education programs to ensure cooperation, development of collective intellect and its capitalization.
