Melnyk-Sheremeta O. Efficiency of using of the immunomodulatory agent of the muramylpeptide series in the complex treatment of patients with infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis in combination with chronic bronchitis

Object of study: infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis and chronic bronchitis in the exacerbation phase; the aim – is to increase the efficiency of treatment of patients with infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis (IPT) in combination with chronic bronchitis (CB) by studying the peculiarities of the course of combined pathology and inclusion into the scheme of their complex therapy of the immunomodulator of the muramilpeptide series; methods of the research – general-clinical, immuno-enzyme, semi-quantitative latex-agglutination method, X-ray, fibrobronchoscopy, computer spirometry, statistical ones; novelty: there were obtained new scientific data on the levels of endobronchial proinflammatory factors and the local immune response (C-reactive protein, IL-6, IL-4, IFN-gamma), the dynamics of collagen-IV content in the complex with the evaluation of the function of external respiration and the endoscopic picture of inflammatory changes in the mucous membrane of bronchi in patients with IPT, combined with CB; there were formulated the determining factors of formation and pathogenetic mechanisms of progression of pathological changes in these patients; the use of glucosaminilemuramylpentapeptide in the complex treatment of this contingent of patients was scientifically substantiated.
