The thesis focuses on theoretical positions and practical recommendations for forensic provision of activities of the National Police in the search for missing persons. The content of forensic provision of activities of the National Police in the search for missing persons was revealed; the typical situations of investigation on the fact of missing persons and investigative version were outlined, ways of their solving were formed; the main features of the interaction between the investigator and the operational units of the National Police were revealed; the peculiarities of usage accounting and automated information systems when searching for missing persons were outlined; the tactical and forensic provision of overt and convert investigative (search) actions was described; the peculiarities of the use of special knowledge under the circumstances were determined.
