Kotelban A. Clinical-immunological characteristics of chronic catarrhal gingivitis in children suffering from diabetes mellitus and ways of its correction.

The thesis deals with the clinical-laboratory substantiation of new methods of diagnostics and treatment of the chronic catarrhal gingivitis in children suffering from diabetes mellitus. In the study participated 110 patients with chronic catarrhal gingivitis and diabetes mellitus. The occurrence, intensity and clinical signs of diseases of the periodontal tissue in children suffering from diabetes mellitus was detected. Microbiological culture of scraping from the oral mucosa was inoculated in order to determine oral microflora by means of traditional bacteriological examination. The local humoral protective factors of the oral cavity were assessed immunological examination, the level of mRNA expression of the parameters of congenital immunity and cytokine cascade in the buccal epithelium. The method of pathogenetical treatment of chronic catarrhal gingivitis in children against the ground of diabetes mellitus was elaborated and clinically tested. Branch - medicine.
