Oliynyk A. Peculiarities of orthopedic treatment of patients with deformations of the dento-jaw system with congenital clefts of the upper lip and palate following surgical interference

The thesis is dedicated to improvement of the quality of orthopedic rehabilitation of patients with congenital clefts of the upper lip and palate following surgical-plastic interference by means of studying the dynamics of deformity formation of the tooth row of the upper jaw with different forms of transverse enlargements of the upper lip and palate, identifying deformation disturbances of symmetry and length of the front part of the tooth row of the upper jaw, developing a method of schematic visualization of deformities of the tooth rows of the upper and lower jaws in their ratio and, according to the suggested method, making a classification of identified deformities by the degree of their severity which is the basis to choose optimal orthopedic structures for each patient in the process of his prosthetic rehabilitation. Medical indications and optimal variants of orthopedic treatment in the period of constant occlusion by various types of prosthetic constructions have been developed and substantiated in accordance with generalization of morphometric characteristics of the identified deformations of the tooth row of the upper jaw and occlusion.
