Essay

The methods for the temperature field research as well as appropriate deformations and stresses were analyzed. The usefulness of the thermal levelling as an after-welding treatment of the welded metalwork of wagons was substantiated. The task of optimization research into the thermal levelling process of freight wagon elements towards decreasing their residual deformation under their production and maintenance was formulated. The will result in a significant economic effect and stable structure of improved technologically-deformed metalwork of wagons; it will also prevent deterioration of the base metal properties.
