Potapenko M. Justification of parameters of the chicory root crop cleaning system

In this dissertation the actual problem of increase in quality parameters of chicory root crop gathering have been solved by justifying cleaning system parameters based on a complex of generalized scientific results. The purification system consists of transport elements installed in sequence and underwent to the technological process of moving and cleaning chicory root crops: loading conveyor, cleaning separator and combined cleaner. The combined cleaner is made as a right and left system of round-intersected screw conveyors which build up a trough of the working bed. The drive screw as a hollow screw cylinder in which void the power shaft with cleaning spring elements is placed is installed above the trough of the working bed. Screw and cleaning shaft drives have been made independent of one another. Basing on the carried out theoretical and experimental investigations the main rational parameters of the combined cleaner are interpreted. The results of investigations are applied by the design-and-engineering institutions while improving available and new developed root crops.
