Essay

The dissertation is devoted to theoretical substantiation of genre stylistics of one of the leading genres of chamber - vocal art of China of the twentieth century. Characteristic features of this genre are not only small compositional works, which jewelry accuracy of each detail, but also special semantic and emotional concentration, expressed in the concept of “microcosm”, “great in small”, etc. An integral feature of the miniature is a lyrical plot that reveals the inner world of the hero. However, it can be enriched with the characteristics of other genres. The research material provided the chamber and vocal miniatures by Chinese composers Zhu Jiangier, Qin Yonchen, Gu Jian Feng, Zhu Liang Cheng, Ao Changchun, Xu Pei Dong, and others, which were created during the 1980s and 90s as independent entities. It has been proved in the work that the last twenty years of the twentieth century are the flourishing of the genre of chamber and vocal miniatures in Chinese musical art, its “golden age”. For Chinese composers this time became a symbol of changes in creative concepts in music, which reflected in the works of each participant. One of the new trends in the field of art was the recognition by Chinese musicians of the possibility of a subjective approach to art. This meant a radical transformation of the spirit of creativity, freedom of expression and concentration on the search for own artistic concepts by the new generation of composers.
