Essay

The dissertation is devoted to solving the actual problem of creating information technology and techniques for automatic creation of ontology-driven e-learning systems. It is proposed to work with the ontology of a discipline (course) in order to develop an information technology that would work identically with different subject areas. The use of the term «chunk» is justified to designate a certain complex of logically related educational material. A metaontology of the discipline is developed, which consists of two parts: didactic ontology and content ontology of the discipline. The considered content processing and the creation of a content ontology as pertaining to said information technology, corresponds to the process of knowledge management. A didactic ontology implements the sequence of learning, and with that, the formalization of the trajectory of individual learning. A technology is developed for automation of test question creation and the creation of computational tasks. This technology meets the following requirements: tasks have answers and solutions without laborious calculations; numerical data in the conditions of tasks are integral; the conditions of tasks are correct, since they are based on an ontology of the discipline that is built by the teacher; tasks are generated in GIFT format. The application of the developed technology is accord with modern pedagogical theories. Pedagogical motivation is realized through lectures during which theoretical aspects are considered, along with their practical application in real life. Proposed is the engine of the ontology-driven information system of electronic learning, which links the educational content with the results of passing tests and execution of control works. The main results of the work were implemented at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» when teaching subjects of the curriculum of bachelor training on specialty 113 «Applied Mathematics».
