The dissertation is devoted to deepening of theoretical bases and development of practical recommendations concerning formation and development of financial and economic potential of enterprises in modern conditions of management. Improved economic content of the concept of "financial and economic potential of the enterprise". The complex of factors influencing formation of financial and economic potential of the enterprise is determined. On the basis of official data on the actual consumption of bread and grain products, as well as the volume of sold bread and bakery products of short-term storage, it is established that the capacity of the bakery market is much larger than it is reflected in official statistics.
