The thesis is devoted to the deepening of theoretical positions, the substantiation of methodological foundations and the development of applied recommendations on the formation and selection of a strategy for the development of an industrial enterprise on the basis of a comprehensive study of current market trends.
The advanced definition of "development of the enterprise" as a specific type of transformations (which are only positive ones) in the form of a process of transition from one state of the enterprise to another with a qualitatively different set of properties and functions and higher quantitative parameters values is proposed. It is determined that the development of an enterprise is caused by dialectically interacting systemic contradictions of internal and external character. This allows more efficient use of available resources. The development of an enterprise is characterized by a cyclic and ascending-spiraling process, where all the acquired results for previous periods can be used with corresponding expansion and complication.
The definition of the concept of "market tendencies" as a repetitive event, or acquisition of parameters of the market of new values, which are fixed, is specified. The parameters are represented by two groups of characteristics: qualitative and quantitative.
The methodical approach to determining the level of development of industrial enterprises, which corresponds to the modern principles of strategic development of the enterprise and the criteria for the selection and systematization of partial indicators, is developed.
The classification of enterprise development strategies is proposed, according to five criteria: product, market, structure, production, technology. Within the framework of this classification, the type of strategies is determined by the combination of these criteria, depending on whether or not a new status is acquired on the following groups of development strategies: progressive, revolutionary, formative, further development and support.
The methodical approach to the selection and substantiation of the strategy of industrial enterprise development is developed. This is presented in the form of a two-tier decision-making model using the fuzzy set theory, which includes two levels.
The mechanism of formation of the strategy of development of the industrial enterprise, the basis of which is the implementation of structural and logical sequence, based on the consideration of the cyclic nature of the functioning of the market environment, provides the formulation of the purpose in the context of the impact of market trends, the application of the corresponding principles, functions, methods and tools of strategic management.
The practical significance of the results obtained is that the use of the devel-oped theoretical and methodological provisions regarding the formation of a strategy for the development of an industrial enterprise and its selection, taking into account market trends, will allow employing a comprehensive approach in the process of substantiation of priority and perspective directions of development, increase the rationality of using the resource potential of the enterprise, and, thus way to maximize its development.
