The thesis is devoted to solution of methodical approaches and development of practical proposals aimed at ensuring the competitiveness of the fish industry of Ukraine under the conditions of integration processes. The thesis is analyzes the evolution of theoretical thought and systematizes the theoretical principles of the research of the competitiveness of the branches of the national economy, and proposes an author's interpretation of the concept of "competitiveness of the fish industry". The expediency of the integrated approach to managing the process of ensuring competitiveness in the context of the experience of the European Marine and Fisheries Fund is substantiated. In-depth methodological approaches to assessing the impact of the Common Fisheries Policy on competitiveness, which allows for the adaptation of the industry to the requirements and provisions of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union. A comprehensive approach to improving the classification of fishery subsidies is proposed. The system of indicators for assessing the level of development and the state of competitiveness of the fish industry has been developed. The focus is on the establishment of a Fisheries Support Fund and the establishment of a fixed rent for land used for fish production in the amount of 3% of the normative monetary valuation. The forecast for catching fish is developed at 124.9 thousand tons for the period up to 2030. The estimation of the reserves of value added growth in the chain "fish-planting material - commodity fish - fish products" was carried out with the distinction of additive and residual methods of calculating value added in the industry, which allowed to develop the principles of competitive development of the fish industry.
