The dissertation is devoting d to learning of specificity violin ensembles artistic phenomena on in the context of the evolution of Western European and national music XX- beginning of XXI century. Thanks to the integrated grounding the or ensemble performance in the domestic musicals science first violin ensemble disclosed value as a unique form of music-making. It is proved that the status of violin ensemble professionalism corresponds to the needs of musical performance and pedagogy of the present. The violin ensembles are actively competing with forms of pop and rock music, commercial artistic projects that are characteristic of the musical art of the 21st century. The study does not exhaust all aspects of the study of the violin ensemble as a component of the genre system of contemporary musical and performing arts. Perspective is the further development of the conceptual and organizational foundations of the violinists ensemble, not only in Ukraine, but also in other countries of Europe, Asia and America.
