Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the increase of the efficiency of pathogenetic treatment of patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) in combination with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). 122 patients with stable IHD functional class II were examined, of which 59 (48.4%) patients had concomitant NASH. It has been shown that with the increased transaminases activity the prooxidant-antioxidant dysbalance and endothelial dysfunction are observed. The relationship between serum triglyceride level increase and L-carnitine content was found. The prescription of ursodeoxycholic acid in combination with L-carnitine potentiates the hypolipidemic effect of median therapeutic doses of rosuvastatin and can influence the leading pathogenetic mechanisms of IHD progression. Key words: ischemic heart disease, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, atherogenic dyslipidemia, rosuvastatin, L-carnitine, ursodeoxycholic acid. Branch - Medicine.
