The dissertation focuses on studying of the course features of periodontitis and improvement of its treatment in patients with ischemic heart disease. The results of the study showed that 100 % of patients with ischemic heart disease had had periodontal disease. The correlation between the frequency of periodontitis and the functional class of heart insufficiency was established. Significantly higher (p < 0.05) periodontal pockets depth and loss of clinical attachment level in patients with periodontitis and coronary heart disease (4.78 ± 0.09 mm and 5.78 ± 0.07 mm respectively), compared with patients with periodontitis and without ischemic heart disease (4.24 ± 0.13 mm and 4.93 ± 0.09 mm respectively) were observed. The efficiency of application of herb drugs with multidirectional action in complex treatment of periodontitis in patients with coronary heart disease was proved.
