The dissertation is devoted to the complex study of the peculiarities of the investigation of crimes against persons occupying a senior or especially senior position. The analysis of the state of scientific development of the topic under study is carried out. The historical preconditions of the formation of responsibility for committing crimes by the persons occupying a senior or especially senior position are determined. Forensic characteristics of crimes against persons occupying a senior or especially senior position are characterized. The features of the interaction of the investigator with the operational units during the detection of crimes against persons occupying a senior or especially senior position and the procedure to commence a criminal investigation against this category of persons are considered. The peculiarities of conducting investigation (search) actions, secret investigative (search) actions and measures of ensuring criminal proceedings during the pre-trial investigation of crimes against persons occupying a senior or especially senior position are examined, as well as a method for neutralizing the counteraction during the investigation of these crimes is given.
