Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the stress-strain state of orthotropic plates of complex shape with the use of a refined model that is based on the hypothesis of a rectilinear element and takes into account the transverse shear. The approach proposed involves mapping a complex initial area to a square in a new coordinate system. The study of the stress-strain state for isotropic and orthotropic materials of various shapes was carried out. Solutions of problems, obtained utilizing the approach, are compared with analytical ones, approximate solutions by the finite element method and extant data of other authors. An analysis of the influence of geometric parameters on the distribution of displacement fields was studied on the example of plates in the form of deltoids. The solutions for a number of problems with different orientation of orthotropic axes relative to the sides of the plate were obtained. The results of calculation for the considered tasks, the revealed effects and regularities are presented in charts and tables.
