The dissertation is devoted to the complex study of theoretical, methodological and applied problems of improving the management of the formation and development of intellectual capital of the processing enterprise. In the dissertation the economic essence of intellectual capital is considered, the structure and conditions of formation of intellectual capital of the enterprise are investigated. The theoretical foundations of the formation of intellectual capital management system and evaluation of its efficiency are determined. An analysis of the influence of the innovative activity of enterprises on formation of intellectual capital of processing enterprises is carried out. The estimation of the level of intellectual capital of individual processing enterprises was made and the conclusion was reached as to its generally low level, the discrepancy of the methods and tools used by these enterprises in managing intellectual capital with the requirements of the modern economy and the future knowledge economy. The directions of perfection are substantiated and the structural-logical model of management of intellectual capital of the processing enterprise is offered. The scientific substantiation of the procedure for development and definition of the content of measures aimed at improving the management of the formation and development of intellectual capital of the enterprise is given.
