Essay

The dissertation presents the theoretical and experimental material on the use of feed additives Probiolact and Prebiolact when feeding young pigs. It has been established that feeding of Probiolact in the diets of early-weaned young pigs at the rate of 1.0 g, 1.5 and 2.0 g per head daily increases average daily weight gains of animals by 5.9 %, 15.1 and 14.7 % and reduces feed consumption by 6.0 %, 12.9 and 11.7 %. Supplementation of the diets of growing pigs with the additive increases productivity by 8.0 %, 14.5 and 13.7 % and reduces feed consumption to the level of 7.4–12.6 %. Feeding of Probiolact to fattening pigs promotes an increase in the average daily gains by 2.9–9.7 %. When feeding a prebiotic feed additive Prebiolact to early-weaned young pigs at the rate of 2.0 g, 2.5 and 3.0 g per head daily, the average daily weight gains of animals increase by 6.4 %, 14.9 and 14.0 %, to young growing pigs – 5.0 %, 14.4 and 13.9 %, to fattening pigs – 5.1 %, 9.4 and 13.0 %. At the same time there is a significant reduction in feed consumption per unit of production. In all cases, there is a significant increase in the digestibility of the essential feed nutrients, especially protein and fiber, improvement of nitrogen exchange, slaughter figures and quality of the obtained products.
