Radushynska T. Optimization of diagnosis and treatment of chronic diarrhea due to lactase deficiency in young children.

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of improving the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diarrhea due to lactase deficiency in young children on the basis of studying the peculiarities of the clinical course, immunological and morphological markers of inflammation. It has been established that chronic diarrhea due to lactase deficiency is accompanied by changes in immunological regulation – an increase in the level of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines TNF-alpha and IL-5, which are indicators of activation of allergic and cell-mediated inflammation. Also, morphological markers of allergic inflammation in the mucous membrane of the small intestine with a tendency to chronization in children with chronic diarrhea due to lactase deficiency have been established. It was established that optimization of medical measures due to individualized phased application of substitution therapy, sour-milk mixture and multiprobiotic complex allows to increase the efficiency of treatment of children with chronic diarrhea caused by lactase.
