In the dissertation work the essence, purpose, principles of state policy in the field of informatization of society are investigated; historical and legal aspects of its formation and development. The present state of the process of realization of state policy in the field of informatization in Ukraine is considered. The features of state policy of informatization of social sphere are singled out. The national system of informational and analytical support of the activity of bodies of state power and local self-government in the present conditions is investigated. The peculiarities of state policy of informatization in the ecological sphere and use of natural resources are considered. The directions of improvement of the system of public administration in the field of informatization of society are proposed. The expediency of providing public discussion on the principles of formation of the information society in Ukraine is substantiated. The scientific-practical approach to the construction of a financial support system for the development of information society is proposed.
