Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the deeper understanding of theoretic and methodological grounds and provides practical recommendations on how to chose directions and factors for the intensification of economic processes at the mechanical engineering enterprises. Pursuant to the results of theoretical economic studies, it is proposed to outline four economic processes of a mechanical engineering enterprise which are hierarchically subordinated, interconnected and interdependent in the course of economic reproduction: use of resources, production, activities, development. It is proposed to structure of intensification according to a designation criterion of its main components (functional structuring) and to expand the economic terminological apparatus by supplementing the existing system of concepts related to the intensification with such concepts as the intensification of the use of resources, intensification of the production process, intensification of activities, intensification of development. The author substantiates the use of priority directions of the intensification as a criterion for determining the type of production model (traditional on-demand products manufacturing model, export-oriented model, innovation-oriented model, innovative investment model, science-intensive production model). A scheme showing the interconnection of production models, intensification directions and factors is developed. A method of integral and model evaluation of intensification of economic processes is developed. It includes a set of stages: factoring and modelling, evaluation and calculation, and conclusions and recommendations. The author proves that this method allows evaluating the level of intensification of any economic process by using the synthesis of methods for aggregating partial economic indicators taking into account the specifics of factors for both an economic process and a production model used by an enterprise. It is proposed to use a process approach to build a model of production intensification. It is recommended to calculate an integral indicator to evaluate the production intensification in the mechanical engineering industry by using the additive convolution method. Pursuant to the results of the use of the system approach when applying the method of integral and model evaluation of the intensification of economic processes, it has been shown that the intensification of enterprise activity is a function of the intensification of its individual functional modules: production and technology, finances, resources, marketing and management, innovations and investments. A quantitative measuring of the intensification of these modules is proposed to be carried out using compound indicators calculated with the taxonomic analysis method. It is recommended to calculate an integral indicator of intensification of activities of the mechanical engineering enterprises as the geometric mean of compound indicators of the corresponding functional modules. The author has analyzed the results of the evaluation of the intensification of activities of mechanical engineering enterprises. This paper studies theoretical principles of the intensification of economic processes at an enterprise based on the principles of logical (hierarchical) subordination of intensification processes by keeping proportions between the intensification of all types of economic processes. It provides the definition of the "golden rule of intensification" which indicates the level of intensification processes of the economic agent. The priority directions of intensification are substantiated on the basis of the analysis of the intervals of evaluation of the levels of intensification of economic processes of an enterprise and the degree of imbalance of the "golden rule of intensification".
