Dziadykevych O. Formation and realization of competitive advantages of Ukrainian grain industry products

In the dissertation the essence of the concept’s «competitiveness» and «competitive advantage» is generalized, in particular the general basic concepts of these categories and their specific interpretation to specific objects or subjects are highlighted. The classification of theories of competitive advantages according to the methodological approach to their formation is made: on the basis of factors of production, on the basis of investments, on the basis of innovations (innovations). It is determined modern tendencies of development and features of formation of world grain market conjuncture. The competitive environment of the world grain market is analyzed and it was carried out the market participants’ positioning with the help of competitive map. PEST-, SWOT- and SPACE-analyzes conducted a comprehensive assessment of the competitive position of Ukraine on the global grain market and the influence of internal and external factors on its formation. Using the competitiveness indexes, it was made a comparative assessment of the competitiveness of the main types of grain in Ukraine and its main competitors (Russia and the European Union) and their main competitive advantages were substantiated. Based on the multifactorial model «Relative Comparative Advantage Index – relative market share», an optimal competitive strategy is grounded. On the basis of correlation-regression analysis, a list of the most important factors was formed; the proposals on the reaction of market participants to the objective conditions of foreign trade have been developed. It was developed the strategic directions of Ukrainian grain industry development from the point of view of strengthening its competitive advantages. The results of the research obtained in the work can be used as an integral part of the scientific and methodological base when making decisions on the grain industry development at different levels of economic management.
