Essay

Thesis presents theoretical basis and practical recommendations for investigation of intentional homicide committed with use of excessive force in self-defence. Criminalistic characteristics of crime are presented with account of its components: modus operandi, crime environment and trace profile, victim’s and criminal’s identity; relevant correlative relationship are defined. Author presents circumstances subject to identification, typical investigative scenarios at the initial investigation stage. Tactics of investigative actions are outlined and separated into verbal, non-verbal and mixed.
