In the dissertation on the basis of the study of legislation, literary sources, the results of the generalization of investigative and judicial practice, a comprehensive study of forensic identification in an imaginary way during presentation for identification. The historical and legal analysis of the formation and development of forensic identification is considered. The place of identification is identified in an imagined manner among other types of forensic identification and its significance for the proof process. The principles of presentation for recognition as a procedural form of identification in an imaginary way are considered.
