Thesis focuses on the study of expressiveness that is manifested by syntactic and paragraphemic means in modern English epistolary novels. The system of syntactical stylistic means, its structural and functional aspects have been singled out; the peculiarities of usage of the syntactical stylistic means by the epistolary language personalities have been explicated and the effect of the expressively marked statements has beenelicited. The system of paragraphemic means that includessyngraphemic, supragraphemicmeans, logographical elements, emoticons and creolized texts has been analyzed. The above mentioned elements serve to add expressiveness to a statement and when combined with the syntactical stylistic means create the phenomenon of syntactic-stylistic and paragraphemic convergence. The comparative analysis of the epistolary language personalities who are the authors of the electronic and traditional correspondence has been carried out, their epistolary usage has been described.
