The essence of the concept of “competitor policy in the banking sector” is highlighted in the paper; the transformation of banking sector relations within the national economy is researched; Issues that reduce the efficiency of economic activity, financial actors of the banking sector are identified. The banking sector competitiveness model is proposed as one of the possible algorithms that can become one of the components of banking sector development strategy formation; The globalization component concerning the formation of the banking sector of the national economy, which was indicated in the model of globalization of the banking sector of the national economy, was highlighted; proposed an own system of bank valuation, outlined the relevance of transformation processes, the definition of a new banking system, where the main process is the accumulation of assets and the consolidation of the banking sector; a cluster analysis of the banking sector of the national economy was conducted, the percentage of financial indicators of the first group of banks in the financial results of the banking sector of the national economy of Ukraine was formed from 2009 to 2016. The factor model of influence of the monetary policy of the National Bank of Ukraine in the banking sector was developed; outlined the introduction of innovative technologies in banking as a competitive advantage over other banking institutions within the national economy; the conceptual model of competitiveness management of the banking sector of the economy is developed; the mechanism of hedging currency risks in the banking sector of the national economy is proposed.
