The object of research is the process of formation of the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy. The purpose of the dissertation is substantiation of theoretical foundations and developing of scientific and practical recommendations for the formation of the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy. The methods of research are: analysis and synthesis, scientific abstraction, quantitative and qualitative comparison method, analogies, observation, statistical and graphical methods, system-structural method, structural decomposition method, modeling and forecasting, hypothetical method and formalization. The scientific novelty consists in solving the scientific problem of development of theoretical foundations, substantiation of methodological and scientific-practical recommendations concerning the formation of the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy. A conceptual provisions for substantiating the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the economy; scientific approach to scenario modeling of socially oriented economic development of the national economy; scientific approach to the formation of the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy in stages: improving the quality and standard of living of the population on the basis of development and effective use of human potential, technological and technological re-equipment, improvement of the structure of the economy, growth of its competitiveness; the toolkit for the implementation of the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy in the system of public administration; organizational and economic mechanism of the innovative strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy have been improved. The notion of the state strategy of socially oriented economic development of the national economy, as a synthesis of models of social and market economy; methodological provisions for diagnosing the state of socially oriented economic development of the national economy have been further development.
