The thesis presents aspects of interpreting the role of music in a drama theater, formulates and justifies the hypothesis that the artistic value of music is equivalent to theatrical performances with other genres. Based on the analysis of musicological, cultural, and historical sources, the most important functions of music in the drama theater are outlined.
