Essay

The thesis examines the systems of environmental management of confectionery enterprises to improve their competitiveness and reduce anthropogenic impact on the environment. Modern transformations in the economy of Ukraine, which are characterized by increased competition, both on the external and internal markets, make it necessary to search for new ways to improve the competitiveness of the enterprise. First, the anthropogenic load on the environment increases. Second, the innovative activity of Ukrainian enterprises is reduced due to incorrect management of most enterprises. Thirdly, the quality of products of Ukrainian enterprises does not meet the requirements of world standards, which makes it impossible for most enterprises to enter the world market. The confectionery industry is one of the most developed branches of the food industry, the total production of which is more than 1 million tons of products per year, which allows fully to meet the needs of the domestic market and be export-oriented (products are exported to more than 50 countries). The role of environmental management of an enterprise is increasingly important in the context of ensuring sustainable development and the main criteria for achieving it. Increasing the efficiency of environmental management in the confectionery industry requires improving the levers and instruments of the impact of environmental policy on the competitiveness of enterprises.
