Essay

The didactic conditions for individual strategies formation of students’ independent-cognitive activity in the process of studying humanitarian disciplines are outlined as: optimization of independent-cognitive activity in the logic of professional self-actualization of students; creation of an integrative educational space on the basis of the didactic potential use of humanitarian disciplines; application of information-and-communication technologies in training as a means of the intensification of students’ independent-cognitive activity; didactic adaptability providing of forms, methods, technics and means of independent-cognitive activity for the purpose of individualization and differentiation of this activity. The effectiveness of the didactic conditions was tested in the process of teaching humanities (the English language, Ukrainian and Psychology) and confirmed by methods of mathematical statistics. The practical value of the obtained results comprises the development and introduction of a didactic model of individual strategies formation of students' educational activities as well as implementation of corresponding didactic conditions, namely, development and application of an optional course "Psychology in English" into the educational process; application of Interactive Training Program "Tell me More" in the process of studying a foreign language, conducting scientific-methodological seminars for the teachers of humanitarian disciplines, elaboration and application of the training manual “English for Industrial Engineering”, presentation of business projects in the foreign language, introduction of the students’ own individual plan of studies, work in MOODLE, application of act of interaction, checking knowledge through computer control tests, arranging Speaking clubs with native speakers, conducting open public events (contests, roundtables, quests) in humanitarian disciplines. The basic provisions and conclusions of the research can be implemented when organizing students’ independent-cognitive activity in the process of studying humanitarian disciplines; developing educational and methodological support of humanitarian disciplines in HEI.
