Essay

The analysis of the dynamic status of various homeostasis links of the organism in children living in the iodine deficient biogeochemical region of the Transcarpathian district has been analyzed in dissertation work. The main attention was brought to the clinical and instrumental details of the somatic effects, taking into account the transformation of the thyroid gland, and the further implementation of preventive measures for the treatment of scarce conditions. Important points for conducting the study were two main factors: high concomitant morbidity and morphometric characteristics of thyroid gland in children. A diagnostic computer model was developed, which identified the leading risk factors for the development of endemic goiter (changes in the echostructure of the thyroid gland, according to ultrasound, imbalance of iodine, selenium in blood plasma and urine, adolescent age, the presence of anti-thyroid antibodies, the maximum increase in TSH levels in serum) in children receiving iodine and selenium in the preparations. The degree of positive changes (decrease in TSH level, increase T4 level) when supplemented with iodine and selenium depends on the initial content of trace elements of iodine and selenium in blood plasma and / or urine. Dependence of the positive effect of sumplementation from the starting level of iodine deficiency was revealed. Key words: children, endemic zone, iodine deficiency, thyroid gland, thyroid status, modeling.
