Essay

The dissertation is the first comprehensive study of the morphology of the larvae of the anurans of different ages. The basic groups of external morphological features, which are recommended to be used for the division of the entire period of larvae development of amphibians in the stage, are established. For the first time a unified scheme was developed for the determination of the stages of larval development of anurans of the fauna of Ukraine. The comparison of morphological structures between species, genus and families of amphibians, morphological differences at all three levels of taxonomic hierarchy has been revealed. Diagnostic signs for determining their taxonomic identity of the larvae of anurans amphibians are proposed.
