Essay

The thesis is devoted to the important issue of Pediatrics – new approaches to screening diagnosis of diabetic cardiomyopathy (DCM) in children. The features of the heart rate variability (HRV), as well as traditional and original parameters of phase domain of electrocardiogram (ECG) in children with type 1 diabetes (T1DM), are described. Statistically significant changes in the parameters of ECG and HRV depending on the course of T1DM are determined. The results of screening diagnostics with a portable cardiodiagnostic complex during a squat test are presented. An algorithm for screening diagnosis of DCM based on a combination of two diagnostic features are developed. The approach to assessing the functional state of the body of children with T1DM based on analysis of the shape of the patterns which characterize the dynamics of changes in the parameters of ECG and HRV during a squat test are proposed. Key words: type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic cardiomyopathy, screening, electrocardiography, heart rate variability, T wave symmetry.
