The dissertation is devoted to the disclosure of the scientific challenge to study the peculiarities of the administrative and legal principles of probation in Ukraine. The legal nature of the administrative and legal regulation of probation in Ukraine is revealed. The administrative and legal status of the entities subject to probation in Ukraine is disclosed. The principles of probation in Ukraine, which should be based on European values ​​and be prescribed in the current legislation, are revealed and described. The administrative and legal status of probation bodies in Ukraine is determined. The forms and methods of administrative activity of public administration in the field of probation in Ukraine are disclosed. The administrative procedures for organizing probation in Ukraine are described. The European experience of the administrative-legal principles of probation is revealed and summarized. The directions of reforming the administrative and legal basis of probation in Ukraine are determined by forming proposals for specific amendments and additions to the Code of Ukraine on administrative violations, in particular regarding the establishment of administrative liability for employers for refusing to employ probation subjects or former prisoners and regarding the introduction of a new institute shock-trial for subjects of probation.
