Bodnaruk N. Clinical–laboratory rationale of deciduous teeth caries prevention in children with musculoskeletal disorders.

In order to evaluate the prevalence of dental caries in preschool children the study was carried out on 357 3-6 year old children with MSD (main group), who attended specialized groups for children with MSD in kindergartens, and 120 conditionally healthy children without MSD (comparison group). It was found that the highest rates caries lesions are observed in children with combined pathology of the musculoskeletal system. The relationship between the intensity of caries of temporary teeth and the physical development of children, antenatal, alimentary and sanitary-hygienic factors of the risk of caries emergence was revealed. Reduced mineral components in the oral liquid, reduced activity of alkaline phosphatase and electrophoretic activity of buccal epithelium cells were established. Increased excretion of total calcium and magnesium with daily urine was established, as well as some of the children showed elevated glycosaminoglycan indices, decreased creatinine content and oxyproline present in the urine. The developed complex of preventive measures included hygienic training and education of children and parents, professional oral hygiene followed by surface coatings of teeth with remineralizing varnish containing fluorine, deep fluoridation with calcium-fluoride, home use of substances containing calcium and phosphate compounds. Recommended correction of nutrition and use fо the children with pathology ORA drug "Calciker", and fо children with pathology OPA on the background of NDST - "Smart Omega Kids".
