This paper sheds light on the issue of prosodic features of accentuated personalities’ English public speaking. The accentuated linguistic personality is defined as a speaker with the enhanced feature of character or temperament revealed in the process of communication in the range of acceptable psychological norm and beyond it. The typical politicians’ character accentuations whose speeches were studied are: demonstrative, paranoid, obsessive-compulsive, and impulsive. The program and methodology of the experimental phonetic research of prosodic features of accentuated individuals’ public speaking was carried out in four stages. Thus the public speaking of demonstrative accentuated personalities is loud, energetic, emotional, intonationally expressive which is achieved with the help of the following intonation model: narrowed pitch range with a tendency for widening, prevalence of discrete actual division of speech flow and high recurrence of the descending stepping scale, moderate and slow rate of the terminal tone movement direction, moderate loudness, moderate tempo with its further deceleration, legato regular rhythm, perceptual pauses, intensity maximum localization on the nucleus, medium intensity range, mid and short sound duration of the tone-group, deep, moved timbre.
