Essay

Dissertation is dedicated to the study of the peculiarities of test objects motion under the influence of the transverse component of optical force, caused by the transverse spin momentum, and torque in a horizontal plane, caused by the vertical spin of evanescent field, in the case of total internal reflection of a linearly polarized incident wave with azimuth of polarization ±45°. Movement of a birefringent microplate in water, in a direction, which is different from longitudinal one and determined by the action of transverse component of optical force, is demonstrated. Influence of transverse spin momentum on the resulting motion direction of gold nanoparticles, localized in tissue fluid above the surface of birefringent section of derma is analyzed. Model of evanescent field generation, using two oppositely directed linearly polarized incident beams with azimuths of +45° and -45° for implementation the conditions of transverse movement of erythrocyte in blood plasma, is proposed.
