In the dissertation for the first time in the national religious studies a holistic analysis of internal transformations of the Russian Orthodox tradition was carried out, as a result of which the actualization and dissemination of the ideology of religious fundamentalism took place. The process of formation of fundamentalist ideology in the discourse of contemporary Russian Orthodoxy is investigated. The connection of the mentioned religious outlook with the historical roots of the Russian religious tradition was revealed. The process of transformation of the internal discourse of the Russian Orthodox Church from the conservatism of the Soviet era to the domination of fundamentalism, which takes place in the current historical period, is described. The peculiarities of the ideological conception of the " Russian world" centralized for the modern Orthodox fundamentalism in the light of postcolonial theory are analyzed. The analyzed authentic phenomenon of the modern Russian religious landscape is a phenomenon of Orthodox activism. The specificity of the activity of Orthodox activists is revealed, their ideological beliefs are characterized, the association of the activity of Orthodox activists with the aesthetics of the postmodern culture is explored. The principle of formation of the ideology of Orthodox Russian fundamentalism, which acquires the features of the anti-crisis program of the religious movement, which, in turn, is actualized in the slums of religious tradition and forms its own identity as a result of the necessity of adapting the trilogy of tradition to the contextual conditions of the present, is revealed. The characteristic features of the fundamentalist worldview, their connection with the culture of modern and postmodern and the mechanism of their actualization in the wilds of religious traditions are determined. The character of the ideological specificity of individual internal movements within the Russian Orthodoxy is revealed. The principles of defining the systemic and outsystematic movements in this tradition, the role of their ideology and mythology in the general landscape of fundamentalist movements are revealed. The personal contribution of Patriarch Kirill (Gundyayev) to the process of forming the ideological program of Orthodox fundamentalism and the central ideological concept of the program - the doctrine of the " Russian world" has been clarified. The position of the doctrine of the "Russian world" in the general landscape of Russian Orthodox fundamentalism, the connection of this doctrine with the achievements of Soviet philosophers, representatives of modern neo-euras and the philosophy of postmodernism are determined. An understanding of the concept of the "n world" as a specific "center of gravity" in the ideology of fundamentalist currents, both in Russian Orthodoxy and beyond, is analyzed. The role of this doctrine as an instrument of consolidation of the "closed" Orthodoxy of the Moscow tradition in its confrontation with the "open" Greek Orthodoxy.
