Lisovska A. Oral English Prayer in Modern Feature Film Discourse (Instrumental-Phonetic Research)

The research focuses on the comprehensive study of intonation prosodic parameters as means of oral prayer realization in English modern feature film discourse. The presented thesis reveals general lingual and extra lingual film discourse peculiarities and determines the place of the prayer in the religious discourse. The analysis of the material under study resulted in prayers classification structured according to the film discourse peculiarities. The analysis of perceptive parameters of oral English prayer functioning in feature film discourse revealed common and differentiating features of their intonation arrangement in all the types being studied.
